On 15 July 2024, ACT Foundation collaborated with Sanabil Foundation to distribute umbrellas to 42 rickshaw pullers in Madaripur, all of whom are beneficiaries of the Shwapnochaka Project. This initiative was designed to provide essential relief during the challenging heat waves and rainy seasons, improving the working conditions for these hardworking individuals.

The umbrella distribution serves as a practical solution to help rickshaw pullers protect themselves from extreme weather conditions. By providing them with durable umbrellas, ACT Foundation and Sanabil Foundation aim to enhance the comfort and safety of these local entrepreneurs, who spend long hours on the streets of Madaripur. The support is a vital part of the ongoing Shwapnochaka Project, which focuses on improving the livelihoods of rickshaw pullers and other low-income workers.

As the implementation partner, ACT Foundation ensured the smooth execution of this initiative, making sure that the umbrellas were distributed efficiently and reached those who needed them the most. This collaboration highlights the commitment of both foundations to the well-being and empowerment of the Shwapnochaka community, reinforcing their dedication to supporting local workers and improving their daily lives.

Through initiatives like this, ACT Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to community welfare, focusing on practical solutions that make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who contribute to the local economy.
