In July 2024, ACT Foundation achieved a remarkable milestone through its first internship initiative under Rupantor ICT Lab. Two students of Rupantor ICT Lab, Sagar Mallik and Asaduzzaman Nur, successfully secured full-time positions at Texon Limited.
The internship program, launched earlier that year, involved 14 students from Rupantor ICT Lab who participated in practical training focused on ICT operations, digital management, and project assistance. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional experience, providing students with the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge in real-world settings.
Upon completion of the program, Texon Limited recognized the dedication and performance of Sagar and Asaduzzaman, offering them full-time roles within the company. This success not only validated the effectiveness of ACT Foundation’s youth development efforts but also demonstrated the potential of local talent when provided with proper guidance and opportunity.
The outcome of this first internship initiative has inspired ACT Foundation to continue creating employment pathways for young people in Madaripur. Following this success, two additional students began a three-month internship at Madaripur Municipality, further expanding the program’s impact. This achievement reflects ACT Foundation’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, skill development, and community transformation through its projects, including Rupantor ICT Lab and Shwapno-Chaka.
